L&R Precision Machining & Manufacturing is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Lynchburg, Virginia. We proudly provide a welcoming environment for our visitors and delight in showing off our facility to customers.
Upgraded for Sustainability
After 14 years of success, we moved into our newest, fully climate-controlled 57,800-square-foot facility in January 2011, giving us room to continue expanding and improving our services. This new facility has allowed us to provide a fully functional cafe area for our employees so they may enjoy a solid meal on their lunch breaks without wasting time and fuel to find a quick substandard bite elsewhere.
At L&R, we believe taking the initiative on environmental issues is important, and we’ve taken steps to reduce our impact. We replaced all the lighting fixtures throughout the building with high-efficiency models and lightbulbs and updated the plumbing with low-flow fixtures and more efficient water heaters.

Our extensive facility houses advanced manufacturing capabilities, allowing us to provide the highest quality, precision parts and components with complex geometries and tight tolerances. Our spacious workshop includes the following:

- Extensive Manual Machining Equipment
Fastems Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS)
Outfitted with three powerful horizontal machining centers, our 80-foot-long Fastems system includes two levels of pallet storage, two loading stations, 146 capacity tool changers, and built-in inspection capabilities. This powerful system allows us to rapidly meet built-to-print requirements for repeat orders and provide bulk prices on lower quantities.

As an ISO 9001:2015/AS9100D-certified machine shop registered with ITAR and GIDEP, we take quality assurance very seriously.
